Choral Prince A WINNER

Choral Prince broke his maiden tag at Kempton today and we are all thrilled with his win. He is a fine looking horse who narrowly failed to win over 7f at Yarmouth last year. We felt he hadn't been concentrating and put blinkers on him last time at Windsor but they only served to wind him up. The step up to 12f and the tactics of letting him settle did the trick. Shane Kelly gave him an excellent ride, allowing him time to settle and then building his confidence. Hopefully he knows how to win now and we will see how he comes out of the race before making plans.

Dividend Dan 3rd at Sandown

Dividend Dan recorded an improved effort to take 3rd position at Sandown on Friday.
On his previous start he had got upset in the stalls and didn't run his race. We put the hood on him this time to help him settle and it did the trick. He travelled very well in the race, under Kieran O'Neill, and it looked at the furlong marker he might win the race. However, he was a bit green when he hit the front and idled but kept on to be third.
We were very pleased with his performance and he is a horse who is still maturing and hopefully will continue to improve.
He came out of the race well and we will look for other opportunities over 7f for him.

Kakatosi 2nd at Newmarket

Kakatosi ran a fine race at Newmarket yesterday. He was sent off a 25 to 1 shot which looked very generous odds bearing in mind that he was a staying on 4th in a decent handicap at Goodwood on his previous start. There was a strong end to end Gallop which suited him and he manage to get into is stride and stayed on very strongly although couldn't get to the winner. This was an excellent performance and we look forward to him running again.
The photo shows him coming into the winners enclosure.

La Fortunata 5th in the 'Epsom Dash

La Fortunata ran another great race in the Epsom dash last Saturday. She had a poor draw in stall six and the ground which was not as quick as she would like Was against her. However, she ran her heart out and was only just passed in the final furlong. She was only beaten 1 1/2 lengths And we were thrilled with her performance. On better ground and with a better draw she would have surely been a a lot closer.

Lutine Bell 3rd at Doncaster

Lutine Bell ran a fine race at Doncaster last Saturday. It was an ultra competitive handicap and Lutine was slowly away, as usual! However, he picked up very strongly in the final 2 furlongs and was only denied by 2 1/2 lengths at the close. He loves the quick ground and hopefully he will be back at Doncaster next weekend for another run.
The photo shows him having a break in the paddock.
